2019 Gift Guide For Travelers
It’s finally cooling down here in Houston. Hallelujah.
As sweaters make their way from the back of the closet to the front of my mind, so do thoughts of Christmas shopping! This year I’ve put together a little traveler’s wish list, filled with goodies from under $15 to up to $400. Whether you’re in need of a stocking stuffer, white elephant or gift-of-the-year, this list will have you covered.
Away expandable carry-on. $275
You may have read of my love for Away luggage in this post. I receive so many questions and positive comments when flying due to the ease and style of these bags. Away just added an “expandable” collection and I’m so tempted to order a whole new set so I can experience them. I do find the storage space in my original set to be more than adequate, but every once in a while I need to use my larger bag due to one item, that with the ability to expand my carry-on, could eliminate the need of checking a bag. The color range is currently limited in this collection, but you can never go wrong in classic black. There are lots of ways you can dress up your luggage, such as with a cute luggage cover.
Skyroam hotspot. $100
Gift someone you love the ability to reach you anytime, anyplace. With the Skyroam Hotspot, WiFi is at your fingertips. Connect up to 5 devices to stay connected in over 130 countries.
dual voltage, foldable travel steamer.$50
For the friend who likes to pack it all in, don’t let wrinkles get her down. This steamer stands out to me because of the dual voltage setup. I was burned last year, in Greece, when my “travel” steamer turned out to be for domestic-use only. Not only can this little guy travel with you all over the world, but the foldable design means it won’t hog too much of your precious cargo space. Meaning, you can throw in that extra sweater. It’s not like you’re worried about it getting wrinkled!
Bose quiet comfort wireless headphones. $400
The most extravagant item on this year’s list, these sleek headphones will drown out any screaming toddler while keeping you tangle free. The most exciting feature of these headphones is the ability to customize the design to reflect your very unique style! I had so much fun playing around with the variety of customization options and am very excited for the opportunity to wear my own creation.
worldwide travel adapter. $12
This is for the traveler that never knows where they might go next. No need to worry if you have the proper adapter with this all-inclusive, compact device. It has as many ports as you could need, no matter where you find yourself docked.
tsa-approved travel containers. $13
BPA-free and in a variety of sizes, these containers keep your liquids where they belong. I love the squeezable tubes for getting out that last bit of shampoo and the multitude of colors so you don’t need to label (unless you want to).
Packing cubes. $25
There are so many options available for packing cubes, it’s easy to find one for everyone in your family or friend circle. Bold colors and patterns or simple and chic. Something every traveler can never find enough of is space. Here’s a quick clip of how I managed a 10-day camping trip + wedding weekend in one backpack, with zero wrinkles.
I’m not one to start decorating for one holiday before another passes. Especially with my love for Halloween. However, it’s never to early to start planning your Christmas shopping. You’ll be sitting by your Yule Log TV-Channel while everyone else hustles around the dreaded Galleria. Perhaps a real fire if you’re not still experiencing swim-weather in the South.
